one per street frontage. Individual sign area may not exceed sixty-four <br /> (64) square feet; <br /> c. Projecting signs— may not project more than 8' from the wall of the <br /> building and must be a minimum of 8' above grade; (In no case may a <br /> sign project over a public street.) <br /> d. Under-canopy signs - not to exceed 8 sq.ft. and must have a minimum <br /> clearance of 8' to grade; <br /> e. Window signs are exempt from permit requirements; <br /> f. Banners - one banner is allowed, without a permit, if attached to the <br /> principal building for a maximum of two weeks except that buildings on <br /> corner lots may have two banners, and such banners are not included in <br /> the total square footage allowed; and <br /> g. Signs may be illuminated and must meet the requirements of Section 80- <br /> 060. <br /> 2. Multiple Occupancy Business and Industrial Buildings. When a single principal <br /> building is devoted to three (3) or more businesses, or industrial uses, a <br /> comprehensive sign plan for the entire structure shall be submitted and shall be of <br /> sufficient scope and detail to permit a determination as to whether or not the plan <br /> is consistent with the following regulations. The plan shall be subject to the <br /> approval of the Town Board. No permit shall be issued for an individual use <br /> except upon a determination that it is consistent with the approved comprehensive <br /> sign plan. <br /> a. The maximum individual sign sizes for multiple occupancy structures and <br /> individual uses which may display signs shall not exceed the maximum <br /> provisions for single or double occupancy structures in the same zoning <br /> district. <br /> b. Multiple occupancy structures may display one area identification sign. <br /> Sign area may not exceed one hundred (100) square feet with a maximum <br /> height of twenty (20) feet for freestanding signs. Individual freestanding <br /> signs identifying the tenants' business shall not be allowed. <br /> c. Except as provided in Subparagraph D below, individual tenants of <br /> multiple occupancy structures shall not display separate business signs <br /> unless the tenants' business has an exclusive exterior entrance. The <br /> number of signs shall be limited to one (1) sign per entrance, and the sign <br /> must meet the size requirements in "On-Premise" signs in Signs Permitted <br /> in the Commercial and Industrial District. The signs shall be located only <br /> on exterior walls which are directly related to the use being identified. <br /> Sibley Township Zoning Ordinance Article III 78 <br />
