DISTRICT 60: COMMERCIAL (C-1) DISTRICT REGULATIONS <br /> Section 60-010 Purpose and Intent. <br /> The Commercial district allows commercial uses normally found in downtown areas of a <br /> community, such as shopping centers, cafes, bakery sales, banks, grocery stores, sporting goods <br /> stores and the like. Multi-family dwellings allowed on the edge of such districts adjoining <br /> residential areas and second story apartments generally would be permitted. Also allows other <br /> commercial uses that require larger off-street parking areas and convenient access to highways. <br /> Section 60-020 Permitted Uses. <br /> The following uses are permitted with the issuance of a Land Use Permit from the Zoning <br /> Administrator, in the Commercial District. <br /> 1. Commercial retail such as grocery, hardware, drug, clothing, furniture stores, <br /> restaurants,etc. (see Section 60-050) <br /> 2. Personal service establishments such as laundry, barber, shoe repair,photography <br /> studios, etc. <br /> 3. Repair services such as radio and television repair shops; <br /> 4. Office buildings <br /> 5. Professional services such as medical/dental clinics, attorneys, architects, <br /> engineers, surveyors and accountants offices; <br /> 6. Public and semi-public buildings such as fire stations, town halls, etc. <br /> 7. Service stations <br /> 8. Wholesale and warehouse operations <br /> 9. Stone and monument sales <br /> 10. On sale or off-sale liquor establishments <br /> 11. Veterinary clinics and kennels(kennels must be located a minimum of 300 feet <br /> from a residence if abutting a residential district) <br /> 12. Public Uses for utilities <br /> 13. Accessory uses and structures <br /> Section 60-030 Conditional Uses. <br /> The following uses may be permitted with the approval of a Conditional Use Permit by the <br /> Township Board following the procedures outlined in Article V of this Ordinance. <br /> 1. Outside storage of materials or goods sold or used in the principal structure <br /> 2. Shopping centers <br /> 3. Hotels and motels <br /> 4. Drive-in businesses <br /> 5. Private clubs and lodges <br /> 6. Motor vehicle, recreational vehicle and boat sales <br /> 7. Farm Machinery Sales <br /> 8. Auto and Farm Machinery repair facilities <br /> 9. Lumber yards and construction material sales <br /> 10. Landscape and Gardening equipment sales <br /> 11.
