VARIANCE APPLICATION—CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES
The City of Pequot Lakes is requesting a variance to erect an 1800 sq. ft.
storage building. The property is legally described as follows: Lot 9, Block 2,
Pequot Lakes Industrial Park which is zoned Light Industrial. Light Industrial
requires a 3,000 sq. ft. building.
MOTION BY G. WELU AND SECONDED BY J. THOMPSON THAT
THE VARIANCE FOR THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES BE APPROVED.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
POST OFFICE REQUESTING AN ADDITIONAL MAILBOX
The Post office is requesting an additional mailbox to be placed near the post
office. The mailbox would make it more accessible for motorist to drop off
their mail.
A sketch was presented of a proposed area for the mailbox. There was
discussion on different areas near the post office where it could be placed. It
was decided that more information would be needed. The issue will be put on
the July agenda.
ZONING ORDINANCE #163, SECTION 14.53: SHORELAND
ALTERATIONS
Zoning Ordinance #163, Section 14.53: Shoreland Alterations includes
guidelines for shoreland only. It was recommended that the Planning &
Zoning Commission suggest specific guidelines for all other areas not
included in shoreland. An ordinance was obtained from Baxter to use as a
guideline. F. Martinson asked Taren Saccoman to review the ordinance and
use her judgment as to what would be beneficial for the City. It will go on the
July agenda.
PARTNERS 56472
T. Saccoman and G. Welu had nothing to report.
