A motion was made by Mark Hallan, seconded by Karl Moon, to table this matter. All <br /> members voted"aye". Motion carried. <br /> APPLICANT: Lonesome Cottage Furniture Company <br /> Applicant requests a Conditional Use Permit for outside storage in a Commercial Zone. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained his Staff Report and indicated a letter that had been received from <br /> the Dept. of Natural Resources. A portion of the fence to be used for screening is <br /> currently on site. <br /> Applicant was present: Jeff Balmer, 29468 St. Highway 371, Pequot Lakes, MN. <br /> Mr. Balmer explained that they had purchased the property next door and their storage <br /> area has been extended. <br /> Discussion followed regarding the disposal of the bark and whether there may be <br /> alternatives for disposal, other than burning. It was determined this was not germane to <br /> this application. <br /> A motion was made by Joe Dotty, seconded by Karl Moon, to approve the conditional <br /> use permit, subject to the following conditions: <br /> 1. A wood fence shall be installed to provide screening of the outside storage <br /> area as viewed from the highway. <br /> 2. The applicant shall install stable material, such as class 5 aggregate, on the <br /> ground within the storage area to reduce erosion. <br /> All members voted"aye". Motion carried. <br /> ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA: <br /> There were no additions or deletions to the agenda. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> The Minutes of the regular November meeting were approved as read. <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br /> A. Mr. Marohn indicated that his Staff Report indicates that there were no permits issued <br /> over the last month, however, he had approved one prior to tonight's meeting. <br />
