B. Mr. Marohn pointed out the correspondence and explained the history of the two
letters.
C. Potential Violations/Enforcement Actions:
1. Roger Langenbau: Mr. Marohn pointed out the existing structures and
uses. Mr. Langenbau has permits for the buildings, but not the uses. Non-
conforming uses could be grandfathered. It would be a danger to let
changes in uses continue. MnDot is to be contacted regarding the
trimming of trees within their right of way buffer. Further investigation is
to be done into the erosion into the wetland.
2. DBA Wilderness Resort: The main complaint is that the mobile homes
are too close to the lake and could be impacting the nitrate levels in the
lake. It was suggested that water samples be taken from other areas of the
lake and compared to the area if the mobile homes. Tom Beavers, Cullen
Lakes Association, is to be contacted in this regard.
3. Virgil Dahl: Mr. Dahl had stopped in to the Old Town Hall and advised
staff what had been accomplished since Mr. Slayton's visit. He was
directed to complete the site plan and septic design and return to staff.
4. Susan and Timothy Brawley: Still waiting for a solution to the erosion
problem.
5. Walker Junk Yard: The members discussed the situation and reviewed the
photos that had been taken earlier and requested that Mr. Walker attend a
meeting to discuss the situation.
6. Robert Swenson: The name should be "Dave", not "Robert".
7. George Lugar: Mr. Lugar had contacted the Planning&Zoning Office
and is awaiting a telephone call from Mr. Marohn.
8. Larry and Nancy Greden: A letter had been received from Mr. Steinbauer
indicating that this matter would be taken care of in the spring.
OPEN FORUM: None.
ZONING MAP UPDATING:
Mr. Marohn briefly discussed the new categories (Extensive explanation included in
October Staff Report).
ORDINANCE UPDATING:
Mr. Marohn explained the proposed Table of Contents and the proposed order of review
by the Commission. Section V and the updated map will be presented at the January
meeting.
A motion was made by Karl Moon, seconded by Barb Sjoblad, to hold a Special Meeting
of the Planning Commission on January 9, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss modifications to
the zoning ordinance and map. All members voted"aye". Motion carried.
