Exempt Commercial Uses, Uses in the Exempt Commercial Zone. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> The Minutes of the August meeting were approved as presented. <br /> ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br /> Mr. Marohn reported the City had issued 7 permits in August. He pointed out to the <br /> Commission the correspondence that Dennis Slayton had sent regarding potential <br /> violations and enforcement actions. He will report the current status of each until <br /> they are resolved to the satisfaction of the Commission. <br /> OPEN FORUM: <br /> a. Elaine Yablonsky, Downtown Commercial Development Plan. Not in <br /> attendance at this time. <br /> b. Jim Gammello, Townhouse Development. Mr. Gammello, 28859 <br /> Ranchette, Pequot Lakes, stated that he owns property across from the <br /> Industrial Park and would like to develop this property as townhomes or <br /> duplexes. This property it currently zoned Commercial. <br /> Corky Smith, 5889 Coralane Drive,Nisswa, was with Mr. Gammello. He <br /> stated that he built the White Pine Villas east of Schaefer's in Nisswa. <br /> The townhomes would be for first home buyers or retired citizens. They <br /> would sell for$119,000. These units would be for sale, not for rent. The <br /> existing old cabinet shop would be removed. A Transition Zone was <br /> discussed, as this area is between the Industrial Park and the Paul Bunyan <br /> Trail. There were no strong objections from the Commission and it was <br /> their consensus to pursue as a Conditional Use Permit. <br /> a. Elaine Yablonsky, Downtown Commercial Development Plan. Ms. <br /> Yablonsky, 1293 Schaefers Point Road, Lakeshore, stated that she owns <br /> the lot on the corner of Government Drive and Oriole Street. She would <br /> like to develop her property as an ice cream store and an outdoor art <br /> market on weekends. She would like to have artisans such as jewelers, <br />
