Applicant requests a Conditional Use Permit for a Church in the Commercial <br /> Zone. <br /> Applicant was present. Representative Wayne Anderson, 2265 — 36th Avenue <br /> S.W., Pine River. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained his Staff Report. <br /> There were no comments from the audience. <br /> Mr. Anderson explained the stormwater runoff plan. <br /> A motion was made by Karl Moon, seconded by Bill Habein, to recommend <br /> approval of the Conditional Use Permit, subject to the two conditions in cluded in <br /> the staff report. All members voted "aye". Motion carried. <br /> APPLICANT: Justin and Kimberly Bolz-Andolshek. <br /> Applicant requests a Variance to encroach within the lake setback. <br /> Applicant was present: Justin Bolz-Andolshek, 27546 West Twin Lake Drive, <br /> Pequot Lakes. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained his Staff Report. <br /> The Planning Commission had received a letter from a neighbor, Joan <br /> Segerstrom, and was read into the record, a copy of which is attached and made <br /> a part of these Minutes. <br /> The Planning Commission and Mr. Bolz-Andolshek discussed the visual impact <br /> from the lake and the existing deck replacement. Mr. Bolz-Andolshek stated that <br /> he has discussed design ideas with his contractor to minimize the negative visual <br /> impact from the lake. <br /> JOHN DERKSEN ARRIVED AT 7:19. <br /> A motion was made by Karl Moon, seconded by Marty Nelson, to recommend <br /> approval of the variance with the following conditions: <br /> 1. At least five new trees shall be planted and maintained within the shore <br /> impact zone (first 37.5 feet from the lake) to ultimately buffer the visual <br /> impact of the second story addition. <br /> 2. There shall be no structure, including deck, closer than existing dwelling. <br /> All members voted "aye". Motion carried. <br />
