Request to Hire Part Time Officers <br />Chief Klang requested the Council to hire Chelsey Collette and Patrick <br />Pickar as part time police officers. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO HIRE CHELSEY <br />COLLETTE AND PARTRICK PICKAR AS PART TIME POLICE <br />OFFICERS AT STEP ONE OF THE POLICE OFFICER PAY SCALE. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 13- <br />16 PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION POLICE <br />OFFICER DECLARATION. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />� 9.1. City Engineer Report - Verbal <br />9.2. Public Works Garaqe <br />Mike Loven presented a request to build an additional garage north of City <br />Hall at an approximate cost of $85,000 to $90,000. He explained that <br />there is a need for additional garage space to store equipment. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO <br />MOVE FORWARD WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITIONAL <br />GARAGE TO BE FUNDED AS FOLLOWS: 50% FROM ROADS AND <br />STREETS CAPITAL OUTLAY BUDGET, 25% EACH FROM WATER <br />AND SEWER FUNDS. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO WAIVE THE BUILDING PERMIT FEE. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br />9.3. Facilitv Studv <br />Tim Houle discussed the timing and need for a facility study.
