MINUTES
PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 16, 2005
PRESENT: Bill Habein, Dean Williams, Tom Adams, Tom Woog, Mark Hallan, Roger
Varilek, Scott Pederson and John Derksen.
CITY PLANNER: Charles Marohn, PE.
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: Dawn Bittner.
COUNCIL LIAISON: Chris Greer.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Woog.
APPLICANT: William Wortham.
Applicant requests to Rezone from Wooded Residential to Residential Zone.
Mr. Marohn explained the Staff Report. He stated that the Preliminary Plat application
was made under the old ordinance and the parcel needs to be zoned to a class that exists
in the old ordinance, in effect at the time of the application. Applicant was present and
there were no public comments.
A motion was made by Tom Adams, seconded by Mark Hallan, to recommend the parcel
be rezoned to residential. All members voted"aye". Motion carried.
APPLICANT: William Wortham.
Applicant requests Final Plat of Sibley Acres.
Mr. Marohn explained the Staff Report, as well as the gap shown on the survey. The gap
is a survey error and the applicant needs to provide access to the property over the gap.
Kevin McCormick, Landecker and Assoc., was present representing the applicant. He
stated that a Quiet Title Action has been completed for the road portion of the gap, just
the width of Brunes Street, not the entire gap. Including the entire gap would require a
new survey and preliminary plat.
Mr. Marohn pointed out two changes in the Staff Findings:
1. The Quiet Title action has been completed for the Brunes Street portion and there
is now guaranteed access to the property.
2. The Title Opinion has been received.
Planning Commission 1
June 16, 2005
