Malecha, Council Members Johnson, Bolz- <br /> Andolshek, Sjoblad, Akerson, Pfeiffer, and Ryan <br /> Members Absent: None <br /> Staff Present: Mark Forsberg, Chief of Police; Dawn Bittner, Zoning <br /> Administrator; Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Tim Houle and Mike <br /> Rude, City Engineers; Tom Nelson, Fire Chief <br /> 1. Call Meetinq to Order <br /> Mayor Malecha called the special meeting of the Pequot Lakes City <br /> Council to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 1.1 Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Mayor Malecha led with the Pledge of Allegiance <br /> 2. Assessment Hearing — Industrial Park <br /> City Engineer Tim Houle provided the following information on the <br /> Industrial Park Improvements: <br /> • Project History <br /> • Improvements <br /> • Project Costs <br /> • Assessment Approach <br /> • Assessment Schedule <br /> • Summary of Steps in an Assessment Project <br /> Mayor Malecha opened the public hearing. <br /> Jack Labare — Baptist Church — questioned why the assessments were <br /> required to be paid prior to the improvement being completed. Tim Houle <br /> indicated that the timing of the project in conjunction with certifying the <br /> assessments to the County all play a role in timing of assessment <br /> payments. <br /> Wayne Anderson — Baptist Church — questioned the method of <br /> assessment. He also questioned whether there would ever be another <br /> assessment to the church if Schmidt Way or Derksen Road were <br />
