AGENDA ITEM #8.2.
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: November 9, 2004
Subject: Bobber Water Tower Lease
Report: Currently the Chamber leases the water tower and old
Chamber building and grounds from the City. The Chamber
subleases the old Chamber Building to Smokey Hollow Fish
Company. The Chamber pays the City $150 per month which is
`— supposed to be used for demolition of the water tower.
The intent of this agreement was to give the Chamber some funds
to be able to keep the water tower stable and painted. At the
meeting we held, the Chamber requested to be solely responsible
for all aspects of the water tower, including demolition should it
become necessary. Because the Chamber will be responsible for
the demolition of the Water Tower, they are requesting to
discontinue paying the City the $150 per month.
Council Action Requested: If the Council concurs with this
scenario, staff will look at redrafting the existing lease and
sublease and bring it back to the Council for final approval.
CAMy Documents\City Clerk\Council Meetings\110904\Water Tower.doc
