Details of lease agreement for the building <br /> a. Funds on hand? City has a chamber account with $2,988.82 in it. <br /> B. Change name on the lease to Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce <br /> organization <br /> c. The Chamber asked if the city could change out the light bulbs inside the <br /> building. The Chamber has purchased light bulbs with extended warranties. <br /> d. The Chamber requests the following language in the lease: <br /> - Lease can be prepaid without penalty; an amortization schedule to <br /> determine the exact prepayment amount will be provided. <br /> - City will transfer ownership of the building to the chamber when the <br /> lease is paid <br /> - The Chamber will not pay additional monthly payments to the city at <br /> the end of the lease <br /> - The City will provide snowplowing of the lot and lawn mowing. <br /> - The Chamber will be responsible for snow removal from sidewalks <br /> e. Definition of the land covered with the lease: 150' x 250' from County Road 11 <br /> south. <br /> f. Restrictions on use with agreement with DNR—see the agreement for details <br /> g. Bathroom remodeling—The chamber is exploring outside bathroom entrances. <br /> More details to follow. <br /> 2. Gazebo <br /> a. History of it? Who owns it? Following the meeting, Cathy learned that the <br /> gazebo was donated in the 1970s. The city is trying to find details. <br /> b. Chamber currently insures it for$4000 and it is listed on depreciation schedule: <br /> The Chamber should cancel the insurance on the gazebo. It sits on DNR owned <br /> land. <br /> c. The Chamber suggested finding a service club to accept responsibility for <br /> maintenance of the gazebo. <br /> d. General discussion that the city should consider approaching the DNR to . <br /> purchase the land where the gazebo sits. <br /> 3. Bobber water tower and Smoky Hollow Fish Company building <br /> a. Lease with the city was provided and is on-file. <br /> b. The city is to set aside the $150 the Chamber pays to the city(out of the lease <br /> payments from the building tenant) toward potential demolition of the <br /> building. The previous bookkeeper did not establish a restricted fund for this <br /> purpose. The $150 has been going into the city's general fund. <br />
