' I <br /> PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> AUGUST 15, 2000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes Planning & Zoning <br /> Commission was called to order by Chairman F. Martinson at 6:35 p.m. in the <br /> Council Chambers of Pequot Lakes City Hall. Present was F. Martinson, G. <br /> Welu and T. Saccoman. Absent were J. Thompson and C. Clarke. <br /> MOTION BY G. WELU AND SECONDED BY T. SACCOMAN THAT <br /> THE MINUTES OF THE JULY 18, 2000 MEETING BE APPROVED. <br /> MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br /> F. Martinson opened the public hearing at 6:36 pm. <br /> CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT— CARI BLOWERS <br /> Present was Ms. Cari Blowers who is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for <br /> the property legally described as follows: E 150' of Lot 6, Block 3, 104 <br /> Spruce Street. The property is zoned Medium Density Residential. If <br /> approved, Ms. Blowers would operate an Antique/Quilt Shop which is zoned <br /> Commercial. <br /> Also present was Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Boldt of 105 Spruce Street and Ms. <br /> Sandra Broady of 108 Spruce Street. The main concerns voiced were parking <br /> and additional traffic. <br /> Martinson discussed the Staff Report and explained the City Clerk's findings, <br /> which included parking concerns, traffic, and the zoning. <br /> After much discussion it was decided the application be approved with the <br /> condition of a review in one year. The Commission asked that the concerned <br /> neighbors contact the City if there were any problems within that year. Ms. <br /> Blowers mentioned that she would like the neighbors to come to her if they <br /> had any problems and she would try to rectify them. <br />
