City of <br /> AGENDA ITEM #9.2 <br /> Pequott <br /> Lakes— <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Report Prepared by: Tim Houle <br /> Date: August 2, 2016 <br /> Subiect: WWTF Row Irrigation Change Order No. 2 <br /> Report: The construction of the WWTF row irrigation <br /> improvements is in the start-up/troubleshooting phase. We are <br /> running into issues, which is normal, it just takes time to work <br /> through each issue as it comes up. However, we have uncovered <br /> one issue that is taking some time to resolve. <br /> As background, the row irrigation pipe laterals send water to the <br /> sprinklers, 5 sprinklers per lateral, basically 14 laterals. There are <br /> valves at each end of each lateral. The valves are actuated by <br /> solenoids. The new control system sends signals to the solenoids to <br /> tell various laterals' valves to open and close to allow a <br /> progression of sprinklers to water the field. <br /> Unfortunately, the wrong solenoids were submitted during the <br /> shop drawing process. We did not catch it during our review, and <br /> these wrong solenoids were provided and installed. The Contractor <br /> has received a partial shipment of replacement solenoids, has <br /> installed them, and they are working with the control system and <br />
