City Council Minutes Page 9 <br /> September 7, 2004 <br /> -------------------------- <br /> project coincide with the Highway 371 project and with the Jenkins sewer <br /> project. It was suggested that a long range plan for the City of Pequot's <br /> needs be considered. Following further discussion it was suggested that <br /> the City begin budgeting $10,000 per year for the study. <br /> Elevator <br /> Tim provided an update on the elevator. He indicated that the elevator <br /> completion date is approximately November 6, 2004. <br /> Mapping <br /> Tim Houle updated the Council on the mapping capabilities of WSN. He <br /> suggested budgeting $5,000 to $10,000 if the City was interested in <br /> acquiring updated maps of the City. <br /> 13. Other Business <br /> Council Member Ryan questioned Brett Twardy about certain issues <br /> pertaining to the Water/Wastewater Department. Brett indicated that <br /> training has been scheduled for Banyon in October. <br /> Council Member Ryan stated that the rates for water and sewer should be <br /> based on the operation and maintenance costs of the budget and that the <br /> reserve should be sufficient for the potential growth of the plant. He <br /> requested Brett to work on providing a long term plan. He also requested <br /> Brett to find a model which would help to determine the water rates. <br /> Council Member Ryan requested Brett to work with Banyon to make sure <br /> the billing system reconciles. He also requested Brett to provide him with a <br /> list of residences that need to have new meters installed. <br /> Repaving of Water Main <br /> Brett presented a bill from Anderson Brothers for the repaving of the water <br /> main by City Hall. The bill was for $1,853. He indicated it would be split <br /> evenly between the Maintenance Department, Water Department, and the <br /> Fire Department. <br />
