MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 12.1. Review Budget Cuts and Set Maximum Levy <br /> The City Clerk reviewed the budget cuts that were made since the last <br /> budget meeting. She noted that the cuts amounted to $39,000 resulting in <br /> a general fund budget of$1,293,688 (this budgeted amount does not <br /> include the enterprise funds or the HRA budget). The Clerk suggested <br /> setting the maximum levy at $1,080,000. It was the consensus of the <br /> Council to set the maximum levy at $1,100,000 at this time. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED TO SET THE MAXIMUM LEVY <br /> AT $1,100,000. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 12.2. Schedule Truth and Taxation Hearings <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER JOHNSON MOVED TO SCHEDULE THE TRUTH <br /> AND TAXATION PUBLIC HEARING FOR DECEMBER 7, 2004, 6:30 <br /> �. P.M. AND TO SET THE SUPPLEMENTAL HEARING FOR DECEMBER <br /> 15, 2004, AT 6:30. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 12.3. Walk-A-Mile Program <br /> Mayor Malecha updated the Council on the Walk-A-Mile Program. She <br /> noted that the Mayor of Spicer, Bill Taylor, would be visiting the City from <br /> September 15-16 to discuss topics of common interest between both <br /> cities. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2004, AT 6:00 <br /> P.M. AT ANTLERS RESTAURANT TO MEET WITH THE SPICER <br /> MAYOR. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 12.4. Update on Industrial Park Lot <br /> The Clerk informed the Council that Lot 4, Block 3 of the Industrial Park <br /> has been sold for $48,600. She noted that the money would be set aside <br /> to pay for the Industrial Park G.O. Improvement Bonds. <br />
