Pequot Lakes
September 7, 2004
E. New Municipal Building Elevator
• WSN responding only when called.
• Hy-Tec called us August 30.They indicated manufacturer changes on the pit below the elevator
will require about a foot of concrete, which they will add at no cost. They also mentioned the
elevator is scheduled to be delivered the week of October 4,then installation during October, with
an anticipated final inspection of November 6.
• Hy-Tec didpdt` that the City needs to install a dedicated phone line for the elevator cab(safety
issue)before installation of the elevator.
F. Mapping
• The City has various `paper' maps.
• WSN has some property parcel maps on computer, mainly of the `urban core' area.
• WSN also has some sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer on computer.
• We suggest the City budget over time(will be on-going and should be continually updated)for us
to put together a `layered' set of maps on computer(plats,property lines,and R/W on one layer;
RE codes and property owners on another layer; sanitary sewer system improvements on another
layer, water system improvements on another layer; storm sewer system improvements on another
layer; etc.).Depending on how quickly and on how much the City wants done,a$5,000 to
$10,000 number may be appropriate.
This information is intended to help organize the various infrastructure `needs' so the City can continue to
work on them and address them as efficiently and as economically as they can.
c: Mike Rude,WSN
Don Anderson,WSN
WSN File
H:VOB\130PQLAK\CITY MISC\SEPTEMBER 7,2004 CITY COUNCIL MTG-MEMO.DOC
