COUNCIL MEMBER JOHNSON
SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
4. Industrial Park Preliminary Assessment Hearing
City Engineer Tim Houle reviewed the project schedule and project costs
for the 2004 Industrial Park Improvement extensions.
-` Mayor Malecha opened the public hearing.
Jack Labarre of the Pequot Lakes Baptist Church questioned why the
Church is being assessed for two lots. He indicated that because the
church would not use two sewer and water services, they should only be
assessed for one lot.
Wayne Anderson of the Pequot Lakes Baptist Church concurred with Mr.
Labarre and stated that the Church is zoned commercial, not industrial.
Tim Houle indicated that all lots abutting Morehouse Drive would be
assessed for the project. He further indicated that the zoning did not affect
the assessment.
Discussion was held about other possible ways to assess the properties
such as assessing by front footage for streets. Discussion was held
regarding the Baptist Church combining their lots so that they are
recorded as one lot.
COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 04-
17 ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS
FOR THE INDUSTRIAL PARK UTILITY EXTENSION PROJECT.
