BYLAWS <br />PEQUOT LAKES COMMUNITY LIBRARY <br />PEQUOT LAKES, MINNESOTA <br />ARTICLE 1 - THE CORPORATION <br />Section 1. Name of the Corporation. The name of the Corporation shall be <br />Pequot Lakes Community Library. <br />Section 2. Seal of the corporation. The seal of the Corporation shall be in the <br />form of a circle and shall bear the name of the Corporation and the year of its <br />incorporation. <br />Section 3. Office of the Corporation. The offices of the Corporation sha11 be <br />at the Library, 31069 Countv Road 112�Pequot Lakes, County of Crow Wing, <br />State of Minnesota, but the Corporation may hold its meetings at such other <br />place or places as it my designate by resolution. <br />Section 4. Board of the Corporation. The Board of the Corporation sha11 <br />consist of seven (7) members who shall not serve more than three (3) <br />consecutive terms of three (3) years. The Board, with the approval of the City <br />Council, shall appoint these members, a majority of which will be from the city <br />of Pequot Lakes. ��erson designated � the board of the Cor�oration�,,� <br />�it�rarian �h 1�1 serve as an ex-officio member of the Lib� Board. <br />Section 5. Purpose of the Corporation. The organization is organized <br />exclusively for literary, charitable, and educational purposes under section 501 <br />(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future <br />federal tax code. Its sole purpose is to be a community library. <br />
