City Council Minutes Page 3 <br /> June 1, 2004 <br /> ------------------------------------ <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE WSN <br /> ENGINEERING PROPOSAL FOR THE INDUSTRIAL PARK PROJECT. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR JUNE 11, 2004, AT 5:00 P.M. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 5.3. Consider Request to Sell Industrial Park Lot <br /> Amy Collins of BLADC informed the Council that the Industrial Park <br /> Committee met on May 25 to consider a request from Ron Bouma to <br /> purchase Lot 4, Block 3 in the Industrial Park. She noted that Mr. Bouma <br /> may qualify for some JOBZ benefits and that the Industrial Park <br /> Committee recommended reducing the building permit fee from $1,200 to <br /> $750. Mr. Bouma addressed the Council regarding his intention to <br /> purchase the lot. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK MOVED TO SELL LOT 4, <br /> BLOCK 3 IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK TO MR. RON BOUMA FOR <br /> $48,600 AND THAT THE BUILDING PERMIT FEE BE REDUCED TO <br /> $750.00. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 5.4. Adopt Business Subsidy Policy <br /> The Clerk noted that the changes recommended by the Council have <br /> been made to the Business Subsidy Policy. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER JOHNSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE CITY'S <br /> BUSINESS SUBSIDY POLICY. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 6.1. Request to Rezone Property from Forestry to Rural Residential by John <br /> Hunter <br /> Report reviewed by Dawn Bittner. The property is located at the <br /> intersection of Akerson Road and Evenson Road. The Planning <br /> Commission voted to deny the request based on the fact that the current <br /> zoning of Forestry is consistent with the comprehensive plan. <br />
