OR require a percent of health insurance to be paid by employer, while
decreasing the wage requirement below 175% of federal minimum wage.
8. Section II, Part C, 3: JOBZ job goal is to create 3-5, FTE jobs. It is not
recommended that the Council require any of these jobs to be held by City
residents.
9. Section II, Part C, 4: JOBZ Wage Goal is to create FTE jobs that pay at least
175% of the federal minimum wage. Two options were suggested for
inclusion of health insurance clause: Eliminate health insurance requirement
OR require a percent of health insurance to be paid by employer, while
decreasing the wage requirement below 175% of federal minimum wage.
10. Section II, Part D, 1-3: Keep all of the requirements as listed.
11. Section II, Part E, 2: "All Business Subsidy Recipients must agree to
continue operation within the City for at least 5 years."
The JOBZ subcommittee wishes to discuss the above changes and obtain City
Council input prior to finalizing the Business Subsidy Policy. We look forward to
working with you as you change and adopt this policy to meet the needs of the
City of Pequot Lakes.
