SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2004 <br /> HELD AT THE SIBLEY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor C. Malecha, Council Members Johnson, Ryan, and Pfeiffer <br /> Members Absent: Council Members Bolz-Andolshek, Sjoblad, and Akerson <br /> Also Present: Planning and Zoning Commissioners Tom Adams, Bill Habein, Tom <br /> Woog, Karl Moon, Mark Hahlen, Joe Dotty, John Derksen, and <br /> Martin Nelson <br /> Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator; <br /> Chuck Marohn, Planning Administrator <br /> This was a joint meeting with the Planning Commission. The Council was present for <br /> the public hearing on the Comp Plan. The Planning Commission concluded its review <br /> and the public hearing on the Comp Plan. The Planning Commission decided to wait <br /> until the Comp Plan is complete with all recommended changes prior to making a <br /> recommendation to the City Council to adopt the plan. <br /> The Planning Commission discussed the impact Highway 371 would have on the plan <br /> `- with the through town route. It was the consensus of a majority of the members that the <br /> Comp Plan conflicts with the Highway 371 through-town option. <br /> The Planning Commission voted to present the Council with its findings on how the <br /> Highway 371 through-town option affects the comp plan The Planning Commission also <br /> requested a special meeting of the Council. <br /> The Planning Commission and Council adjourned at 9:00 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> aSandra A.�Pe i n <br /> City Clerk <br />
