6. Each lot abuts commonly owned property, which accesses public right of way. Each lot is accessible. 7. There are no easements needed for maintenance of public utilities. The Commission recommends that the motion to approve include the following conditions: 1. An updated preliminary plat drawing shall be provided showing the as- built location of the sewage treatment system. 2. An NPDES permit shall be submitted to the MPCA with the City given a copy. 3. This approval does not modify any previous approvals or conditions but only modifies the layout of these lots. All restrictions, covenants, conditions or agreements in place would not be altered by this approval. Aware that some of their terms are expiring in the next couple of months and understanding the existing City policy for eligibility to serve on the Planning Commission(must live in the City), Planning Commission members wanted to relay to the City Council their thoughts on changing the eligibility criteria. The Commission considered many different scenarios,but they believe that an individual should be eligible to serve on the Commission if they either reside in Pequot Lakes (owns or rents a home) or owns and operates a business in Pequot Lakes. They request that you amend the City's policy to accommodate this. At their February 19 meeting, the Planning Commission is meeting jointly with the Long Range Planning Committee to hold a public hearing and review the draft Comprehensive Plan.
