City Council Minutes <br />February 8, 2012 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />----------------------- - - - - -- <br />The Mayor noted that the City received one application for the vacancy on <br />the Library Board. Mayor Adams recommended appointing Lavonne <br />Sullivan to the Library Board. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPOINT LAVONNE SULLIVAN TO THE <br />LIBRARY BOARD FOR A THREE YEAR TERM TO EXPIRE ON <br />DECEMBER 31, 2014. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />11.3. TIF District 1-9— Lime Greenery <br />The Clerk noted that the City Attorney is working with the City's bond <br />Attorney, Briggs and Morgan to draft an Assignment and Assumption <br />Agreement so that the new buyer will assume the obligations under the <br />Development Agreement. This will be presented at the March Council <br />meeting. The Clerk also noted that the Council motion referenced job <br />creation as a condition. She noted that the original developer's agreement <br />did not reference job creation. It is recommended by both attorneys that <br />this not be a condition of the new agreement. <br />Council Member Ryan stated that the attorney fees should not be paid by <br />the City. <br />11.4. Assign Money from Chokecherry Tree Sales <br />The Clerk informed the Council that the City received $72.00 from the sale <br />of Chokecherry Trees in 2011. She noted that in the past the Council has <br />assigned the money toward the future purchase of equipment for Trailside <br />Park. She questioned if the Council wanted to pursue that idea with the <br />$72.00. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO ASSIGN $72.00 TOWARD THE FUTURE <br />PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR TRAILSIDE PARK. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- <br />0. <br />12. Other Business <br />There was no other business. <br />13. Adjournment <br />
