City Council Minutes <br />February 8, 2012 <br />Page 7 of 9 <br />----------------------- - - - - -- <br />10.1. Government Drive Project Update <br />Tim Houle updated the Council on the progress of the Government Drive <br />project. He stated that he is requesting authorization to advertise for bids <br />in March. The bids will be presented to the Council in April. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br />ENGINEER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR GOVERNMENT DRIVE <br />PROJECT. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />11. Clerk's Report <br />Report accepted by Council. <br />11.1. Disposal of Excess Property Ordinance <br />The Clerk stated that the purpose of the amendment to the proposed <br />ordinance is to make it consistent with the City's Capital Asset and <br />Surplus Property Policy. She stated that the ordinance has been reviewed <br />by the City's Attorney. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 12- <br />03, SECOND SERIES, AMENDING CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 8 RELATING <br />TO DISPOSAL OF EXCESS PROPERTY. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />11.2A &B. Board and Commission Appointments <br />Planning Commission <br />The Mayor noted that the City received four applications for the vacant <br />Planning Commission position. She recommended that the Council <br />appoint Scott Snyder to the position. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPOINT SCOTT SNYDER TO THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION FOR A THREE -YEAR TERM TO EXPIRE <br />DECEMBER 31, 2014. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />Library Board <br />
