Fire Chief Report <br /> Chief Tom Nelson presented the December, 2003 operations report. He noted <br /> that there has been an election of officers as follows: <br /> • Fire Chief—Tom Nelson <br /> • First Assistant Chief— Dan Loven <br /> • Second Assistant Chief— Dave Szymanski <br /> • Captains — Neil Casanova, Bill Rickard, Daren Nordby <br /> • Safety Officer— Bob Peterson II <br /> • Training Officers — Mike Peterson and Brian Evenson <br /> • Secretary-treasurer— Bob Peterson 1 <br /> 9. Maintenance Supervisor's Report <br /> Mike Loven questioned the Council about a piece of land that has been <br /> dedicated as park. Discussion was held as to what the City should do with the <br /> land. It was the consensus of the Council that Council Member Akerson and <br /> Council Member Sjoblad would go look at the property and make a <br /> recommendation to the City. <br /> 10. Water/Wastewater Supervisor's Report <br /> Report by Brett Twardy. <br /> 10.1. Water/Wastewater Position <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE HIRING OF A FULL <br /> TIME ASSISTANT WATER WASTEWATER OPERTOR UP TO $10-$13 PER <br /> HOUR FOLLOWING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS. COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ- <br /> ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 11. Police Chiefs Report <br /> Report given by Chief Forsberg. The Council thanked the Chief and his <br /> department for the good job that has been done on the Dru Sjodin case. <br /> The Chief indicated that he has received a complaint regarding parking on West <br /> Sibley Street. He indicated that the Zoning Administrator has indicated that this <br /> issue will be reviewed along with the comprehensive plan. <br />
