Malecha, Council Members Johnson, Bolz-Andolshek, <br /> Sjoblad, Akerson, Pfeiffer, and Ryan <br /> Staff Present: Brett Twardy, Water/Wastewater Superintendent; Mark Forsberg, Chief <br /> of Police; Dawn Bittner, Planning and Zoning Administrative Assistant; <br /> Chuck Marohn, Planning and Zoning Administrator; Sandra Peine, <br /> City Clerk; and Tim Houle, City Engineer <br /> Mayor Cathy Malecha called the regular meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2003. <br /> Mayor Malecha led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 1. Fire Chiefs Report l <br /> i <br /> Fire Chief Oaks presented the November operations report. <br /> 2. Award Bid for Fire Truck <br /> Fire Chief Oaks noted that the City received one fire truck bid from Dakota County <br /> Trucks for the purchase of a 2003 pumper truck in the amount of$150,000. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ACCEPT THE BID FROM DAKOTA j <br /> COUNTY TRUCKS FOR A 2003 PUMPER TRUCK IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,000. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-1. <br /> Roll Call: SJOBLAD—AYE, JOHNSON —AYE, RYAN —AYE, BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK <br /> —AYE, PFEIFFER—AYE, AKERSON — NAY. <br /> 3. Authorize Purchase of Fire Truck <br /> Chief Larry Oaks presented the terms for the purchase of the fire truck. The truck will <br /> be purchased through a lease-purchase agreement through the American National <br /> Bank at a total truck cost of$151,300 with an interest rate of 4.19°x6 and amortized for <br /> ten years with semi-annual payments. The truck cost of$151,300 is itemized as <br /> follows: $150,000 for the truck, $800 to American National Bank and $500 to City's <br /> bond attorney. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 03-132 <br /> PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF EQUIPMENT AND EXECUTION OF A <br /> MUNICIPAL LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN NATIONAL <br />
