City Council Minutes <br /> December 6, 2005 <br /> Page 6 <br /> ---------------------------------- <br /> The Clerk presented a draft travel and expense policy to the Council. The <br /> Council reviewed the policy. Discussion was held regarding whether a <br /> meal allowance should be allowed for travel during the day when no <br /> overnight stay is required. It was the consensus of the Council to adopt <br /> the policy as presented. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT THE TRAVEL AND <br /> EXPENSE POLICY. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 11.2. Vehicle and Equipment Policy <br /> The Clerk indicated that the attorney recommended that the equipment <br /> policy be separate from the vehicle policy. She noted that the proposed <br /> policy addresses vehicle use only. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE VEHCILE <br /> POLICY. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 11.3. Park Board Members <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPOINT MELISSA <br /> SAMUELSON TO THE PARK BOARD FOR A 3-YEAR TERM <br /> (JANUARY 1, 2006 TO DECEMBER 31, 2008) AND BRIAN <br /> KOSLOFSKY TO REPLACE RON SCHAEFER FOR A ONE-YEAR <br /> TERM (JANUARY 1, 2006— DECEMBER 31, 2006). COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 11.4. Arbor Day Proclamation <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO PROCLAIM DECEMBER 10TH <br /> AS ARBOR DAY IN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6- <br /> 0. <br /> The Council recognized the trees that were recently planted in Trailside <br /> Park. The Council also recognized the fact that the trees were seedlings <br /> that the City had previously planted several trees a few years ago in order <br /> to be transplanted at a later date. <br />
