If anyone is interested in fire fighter II classes, they will be offered soon. If we can get
about ten interested, the classes could be at Pequot.
New fire fighter candidates will be interviewed next training meeting night, here at the
fire hall. The times will be Wednesday, October 19, starting at 6:30 pm.
Kelly is having a party to hang tin sheets on his garage this Saturday, starting at noon.
Chili and refreshments will be available if you can give him a hand.
First Responder classes will start October 17'h for anyone interested.
We will order a hose reel for the pressure washer and a tongue jack for the flat bed trailer.
The new Hurst tool will be put on the 1995 engine 2 until we get needed fluid and the
unit has checked out for operation.
The hurricane benefit at Tasty Pizza raised about$1442.00 profit. Tom would like to
send the money to the National volunteer fire council, which would distribute the funds
to volunteer fire departments involved with the hurricanes. Rickard motioned we add
$60.00 to the fund and send $1500.00, second by Oaks, motion passed.
Zone 3 first responders are asking for financial help to help with training and expenses.
Bridge motioned we send them $100.00, second by Rickard, motion passed.
The gear rack for the new Breezy Station was discussed. The issue is should we purchase
one built from metal, or build one from wood. The cost of the metal factory built one is
$1300.00. Rickard motioned to purchase it, second by Nordby, motion passed, with D.
Loven voting no.
The ice rescue donation story and picture were never published in the newspaper. We
could use the publicity and also the snowmobile club could use some tnaks for their
donation.
The ice auger event is definitely a go for 2006.
A thank you will be sent to Narveson for their generous donation.
Peterson brought up that we did not send flowers or a donation to the Sabyan family for
their loss of Don's wife, Beverly. Rickard motioned we send $100.00 for a memorial,
second by Oaks, motion passed.
Tom expressed thanks to Bob and Mary for hosting the hurricane benefit at their
restaurant.
Oaks motioned to adjourn, second by Mike Peterson, meeting adjourned.
