I am the Finance Director at the City of Delano and have been here for almost one year. As Finance Director I am responsible for maintaining the City's Capital Improvement Plan. We have had Plan-it for four years now. I really like what I've seen so far. I know it does more than what we use it for which is just to have some type of long range plan. I am not sure, but I think it doesn't have the following features which would be nice: 1.)compatible with Banyon (our financial software)so we don't have to put budget numbers in twice and 2.)fixed asset accounting including depreciation. I am really happy with the software even though I think it could be better. I cannot imagine trying to do a long range capital improvement plan without it. The software is easy to use once you spend a little time with it and learn how it is suppose to be used. If you have any other questions please let me know. Our Council has just authorized the purchase of the Plan It C L0, Software for our Capital Improvement Planning Process. They have asked me to check M references on the software. Would you please help us out? 1. How long have you had the software? Purchased in 2002 2. Are you happy with the software? Yes. Very happy with the software. We probably do not utilize the software to its full capacity at this point. 3. Are there any features that you feel the software is lacking in? None that I know of. Bill Leskee from Plan-It is always inquiring of his clients as to any changes we'd like to see so if there was something missing, I'm sure Bill would be happy to update the software. 4. Is the software easy to use? Yes, very easy.
