MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br /> City Clerk's Office <br /> August 2005 <br /> Meetings <br /> • August 2, 2005—Meeting in Staples with NCSC (North Central Service <br /> Coop) Health Insurance discussion <br /> • August 2, 2005—City Council meeting <br /> • August 4, 2005—Cable Commission Meeting at Breezy Point(discussion <br /> regarding purchasing equipment to video tape meetings) <br /> • August 8—Monthly budget meetings with department heads <br /> • August 9— Special Council Meeting—Police Chief Interviews <br /> • August 11 —Park Board Meeting <br /> • August 11 —Meeting with BLADC and Tom Ryan—Babinski Project <br /> • August 11 —Meeting with the Downtown Development Committee <br /> • August 12—Pay Equity Committee Meeting <br /> • August 16—Special Council Meeting—Budget Workshop <br /> • August 18—Meeting with Chuck Marohn,Dawn, and Mike to discuss storm <br /> water runoff regulations <br /> • August 24—HAVA meeting at Crow Wing County <br /> • August 30—HAVA meeting (6:30 p.m.) at Crow Wing County <br /> Projects/Issues <br /> • SALARY/PAY EQUITY <br /> • In conjunction with the Budget,the Clerk's office has been pulling <br /> together salary information to compare employee salaries with <br /> surrounding communities with cities of similar population. <br /> • The Pay Equity Committee (Mayor Malecha, Brett Twardy,John Ryan, <br /> Nancy Malecha and I) has met to rank all positions in the City according <br /> to the State Job Match system. We have turned in the results to the State <br /> and anticipate receiving a preliminary assessment soon. <br /> • I have met with Ray Niemann to discuss the Council's desire to put <br /> together a performance review process and a pay scale for employees. <br /> Ray has put together a proposal for the Council to consider. <br />
