r We will have a vacancy to fill. It may be better to put on 2 more fire fighters, which makes it easier for training and classes. Mike Peterson motioned to add 2 more fire fighters, second by Evenson, motion passed. John, from Mission is still interested. We have been notified by the DNR that we are up for a 5000 gallon tanker truck, if we want one. The freight cost is about$2500.00. We don't know what to do. The cost to cut down the tank size is about $8000.00, maximum. Larry motioned we go for one, second by Dave, motion passed unanimous. Larry will go there and check them out. Bill thought we should see if we can get just the tanks, and use them for hydrant tanks. The fun committee has a plan for a firemen's ball at Breezy Point Resort. They would like to know if we are interested, so the room can be reserved. There was no interest, because of the cost. A suggestion was made to revise their plan and look into a Legion Club facility. There will be an officer's meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 at the Breezy station. Neil got the needed $500.00 donation from TDS, which is needed to purchase the AED. The RIT team is going well. Eleven of our fire fighters are participating. They will have a house burn in Crosslake in September, to test their performance. Narveson Management has donated $10,000 for use for equipment at the Breezy station. We don't know how much we can use. Bill has a cost of about $1200.00 for a six unit locker for the Breezy station. We don't know if we can use any of that money for RIT use. Purchasing a second AED unit was discussed. It would be great to have a unit at the station, and one at a scene. There was no interest. Bill asked about purchasing an 02 tank and bag unit for the department. A vote was conducted on our five fire fighters who have completed their probation. John Lauer was voted off by a 16 to 1 vote due to his poor attendance at meetings and fires. He was not meeting required by law regulations. Pat Selter, Mike Schwankl, Dusty Zeimet, and Nick Putnam were all voted into full fledged membership on the department. Dusty did get one no vote. Evenson motioned to adjourn, second by Mike Peterson, meeting adjourned.
