City of Pequot Lakes, MN <br /> 2005 Evenson Road Improvements <br /> TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br /> A. GENERAL CONDITIONS <br /> 1. The Contractor shall be responsible for reviewing these <br /> specifications, any attached drawings, and actual site conditions <br /> prior to bidding. <br /> 2. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security (Bid Bond or certified <br /> check) made payable to the City of Pequot Lakes in an amount of five <br /> (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid. <br /> The Bid securities will be retained until the City of Pequot Lakes <br /> has executed an Agreement with a Bidder; at which time the Bid <br /> securities will be returned. <br /> 3. Prior to beginning any work, the Contractor shall furnish a <br /> Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in an amount at least equal to <br /> the Contract Price. These Bonds shall remain in effect until one <br /> year after the date when final payment becomes due. The Bonds shall <br /> be acceptable to the City of Pequot Lakes before the Contractor <br /> begins Work. <br /> 4. Prior to beginning any work, the Contractor shall furnish Insurance <br /> Certificate(s) for the statutory limits for Workers' Compensation, <br /> $1, 000,000 in General Liability, and $1,000,000 in Automobile <br /> Liability. The Insurance Certificate(s) shall remain in effect until <br /> one year after the date when final payment becomes due. The <br /> Certificate(s) shall be acceptable to the City of Pequot Lakes <br /> before the Contractor begins Work. <br /> 5. As there are no drawings, the Owner/Engineer did not call in a <br /> Gopher State One Call in preparation of this bidding package. <br /> The Contractor is totally responsible for researching, locating, and <br /> identifying all utilities, as well as calling in the appropriate <br /> `Gopher One Call' . <br /> 6. The Contractor is totally responsible for obtaining proper permits, <br /> laying out, providing, maintaining, and removing all necessary <br /> erosion control devices to minimize/eliminate sediment and erosion <br /> during the course of the Work. <br /> 7. The Contractor is totally responsible for laying out, providing, <br /> maintaining, and removing all necessary work zone traffic control <br /> signs and devices to provide for proper safety for the public and <br /> his/her workers. <br /> 8.
