Five-Year Streets and Roads Plan <br /> Mike Loven explained that there are drainage problems on Government <br /> Drive that should be resolved soon due to more building activity taking <br /> place in the area. Mike indicated that he is proposing to do this project in <br /> 2006 and move the Marshall/Oak Street project in 2007. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED TO MOVE THE <br /> MARSHALL/OAK STREET PROJECT TO 2007 AND TO IMPROVE <br /> GOVERNMENT DRIVE IN 2006. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> City Engineer Tim Houle indicated that he would provide a draft proposal <br /> showing improvement options at the July Council meeting. Mike Loven <br /> suggested breaking the project into two projects - North Government Drive <br /> and South Government Drive. <br /> Mike Loven suggested that the city-owned lot behind the old city hall be <br /> used for drainage. Mike recommended that the water be drained on the lot <br /> and when City Hall sells, we would need a temporary easement on the <br /> South property line to run the water until Government Drive is completed. <br /> Mike Loven indicated that Potlatch has agreed to sell right-of-way through <br /> the properties from the North end of Nagel Road to Akerson Road. He <br /> indicated that this would eventually provide an alternate route to C.R. 16. <br /> Mike questioned whether the City Council was interested in pursuing <br /> acquisition of the right-of-way. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br /> ENGINEER TO DRAFT A PROPOSAL FOR A RIGHT-OF-WAY PLAN <br /> FOR THE AREA CONSISTING OF NORTH OF NAGEL ROAD TO <br /> AKERSON ROAD. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> Industrial Park Sign <br /> Discussion took place regarding the industrial park sign. It was decided <br /> that there will eventually be too many businesses in the park to place on <br /> the sign. It was suggested that business signs be placed on the lot corners <br />
