Pawn Shop Ordinance <br /> The City Clerk reviewed the proposed Pawn Shop Ordinance. Council <br /> Member Nagel requested the Clerk to check the definitions with the zoning <br /> ordinance to ensure there are no conflicts. The Clerk indicated that the <br /> ordinance would be brought back to the Council at the next meeting. <br /> 11. Maintenance Supervisor's Report <br /> Report given by Mike Loven. Mike Loven indicated that he is working with <br /> the City Attorney and a property owner on Gravdahl Drive regarding an <br /> issue of Gravdahl Drive not being a platted street. <br /> 11.1. Tractor Mower <br /> Mike Loven reported that he contacted the City of Breezy Point regarding <br /> contracting with the City of Pequot Lakes for the use of Breezy Point's <br /> tractor mower. He indicated that Breezy Point is not interested in <br /> \... contracting their tractor mower out for use. <br /> Council Member Greer indicated his concern of running into maintenance <br /> problems with the purchase of a used tractor mower. Council discussion <br /> pursued regarding the possibility of contracting the ditch mowing. Mike <br /> Loven indicated that this is a possibility and has been tried in the past. He <br /> stated that the problem is that the ditches don't always get done when <br /> expected and the job is sometimes inadequate. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO SPEND UP TO $7,000 FOR <br /> A TRACTOR MOWER. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-1. COUNCIL MEMBER GREER <br /> OPPOSED. <br /> The Council suggested that the City continue to check out the possibility of <br /> contracting the ditch mowing while still looking for a used tractor mower. <br /> 11.2. Award Sale of Trees to Highest Bidder <br /> Mike Loven indicated that the City did not receive any bids for the sale of <br /> the pine trees. He suggested selling the trees in smaller quantities while <br /> still requiring that purchasers provide the required insurance. <br />
