MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES INDUSTRIAL PARK COMMITTEE
MARCH 16, 2005
PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL
Members Present: Tom Ryan, Justin Bolz-Andolshek, Leah Heggerston,
Tommy Woog, Sheila Haverkamp, Amy Collins, Dawn
Bittner and Sandy Peine
PFS Design — Phil Schott
The Committee heard a request by Phil Schott to purchase Lot 8 of Block 4 in the
Industrial Park. Mr. Schott is proposing to construct a 33,000 square foot, four
unit office building. He is proposing to use one of the units for his design
business and to lease the other three units. In the future he is proposing to
construct another similar building on the same lot.
The Committee discussed the proposal and felt that the use fit the lot and
location in the park. Available parking space is sufficient for the use.
It was the committee's recommendation to recommend that the Council approve
the purchase of Lot 8, Block 4 for$55,200 to Phil Schott.
Granite City Ready Mix
Sandy Peine informed the Committee that Granite City Ready Mix is proposing to
purchase lots 1 through 4 of Block 2 in the Industrial Park. They are proposing to
move the existing Ready Mix Plant located in Cross Lake to Pequot Lakes
Industrial Park. The Committee discussed the proposal and felt that the ready
mix plant was not the best use for the property. They felt that the property would
be better served by a use that created more jobs and provided a larger tax base.
The Committee directed the Clerk to contact Granite City Ready Mix and inform
them of the decision.
Resp
2 ctfully submitted,
andra A. Peine
City Clerk
L
