Discussion was held regarding the possibility of a full access somewhere between CR 107 and Derksen to make it more attractive as a commercial area. 20) Discussion was held regarding the possibility of moving the service road to the east, moving the Paul Bunyan trail to the east, and extending the road to C.R. 112. The Council felt this idea should be pursued. 21 -22) No comment. 23) The Council felt there may be a need to jack the pipe under the road sooner than later and requested this item to be left on for future discussion. 24) Council discussion but no decision made. 25 & 26) The Council discussed this issue at length and felt that the City L.. should not just dismiss the possibility of extending infrastructure. This could depend on the timing of the Highway 371 project and the cost. It was suggested that the city should be more aggressively looking at the expansion of sewer and water rather than just reacting to developer driven extensions. The Council requested the Engineer to get a cost estimate to extend sewer and water. 27) No comment. 28) Same comments as 25 and 26. 29-32)No comment. 33) Many ideas were discussed regarding a backage road versus a frontage road. The Council concurred that a frontage road would not work. The Council talked about the possibility of running the road further east to Olson Street. It was suggested that the committee review other previous options and to have MnDOT to draw a couple of other options to be considered that would be less of an impact on the church.
