Planning Commission Meeting Attendance Policy <br /> Dawn indicated that the Planning Commission made a motion to recommend that <br /> commission members be compensated if they attend any portion of a regular monthly <br /> meeting. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ACCEPT THE STANDARDS FOR <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING ATTENDANCE RECOMMENDED BY <br /> THE PLANNING COMMISSION. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION.MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 5.7. Industrial Park Sign <br /> Dawn Bittner indicated that there has been interest from business owners in the industrial <br /> park to add their business names to the industrial park sign. The City has another sign <br /> that could be added to the existing park sign. Council discussion took place regarding the <br /> visibility of the sign and the unsightliness two signs would create.It was suggested that <br /> staff look at alternatives to the industrial park sign. <br /> 5.8. Lake Education Brochure <br /> Dawn Bittner requested permission to print 500 brochures to hand out to property <br /> owners. She indicated that she received quotes from several printers with Weise Clothing <br /> being the lowest quote. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GREER MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE PRINTING OF <br /> THE LAKE EDUCATION BROCHURE WITH WEISE CLOTHING. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION.MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 6. Department Goals <br /> The City Clerk indicated that all city departments have put together a list of department <br /> goals for council review.The Council suggested that department heads indicate which <br /> goals have been met in the monthly staff reports. <br /> 7. Job Descriptions <br /> The City Clerk indicated that job descriptions have been drafted and reviewed by Council <br /> liaisons.The Council requested to table action until the next meeting. <br /> Council Member Greer requested a clarification as to whether department heads should <br /> be attending Council meetings. The Council discussed this issue and consented that <br /> although many options were discussed,no actual decision had been made regarding staff <br /> attendance of meetings. After further discussion it was the consensus of the Council to <br /> have department heads listed first on the agenda for the April Council meeting. <br />
