She <br /> indicated that she has the opportunity to hire an intern from the Humphrey Institute for <br /> 100 hours at$10 per hour contingent on receiving grant funds from the Initiative <br /> Foundation.The intern would look at the existing housing stock in the community and <br /> see how it can be improved with affordable housing. Sharon indicated that a housing plan <br /> should support the goals in the comprehensive plan. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE HRA TO <br /> PROCEED WITH A HOUSING PLAN.COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION.MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 5.2. Environmental Assessment Over-flight Proposal <br /> Alan Cibuzar of A.W. Research presented a proposal for an over-flight environmental <br /> assessment of the lakes in Pequot Lakes for$1,746. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL FROM <br /> A.W.RESEARCH FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OVERFLIGHT <br /> OF THE LAKES WITHIN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES FOR$1,746. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 5.5. Consider Planning and Zoning Applicants <br /> Dawn Bittner indicated that three positions on the Planning Commission have expired. <br /> She noted that the City advertised for the positions and received two applications; one <br /> from Tom Woog requesting reappointment and one from Scott Pederson. The Council <br /> reviewed the applications. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED THE FOLLOWING APPOINTMENTS TO <br /> THE PLANNING COMMISSION: <br /> TOM WOOG—3/12/05 TO 3/12/08 <br /> SCOTT PEDERSON—3/12/05 TO 3/12/08 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br />
