Pequot Lakes
February 1,2005
F. Mapping
• Note that the City did approve a July 3, 2001 WSN proposal to assist them with mapping
services related to plats, watermains, and sanitary sewers. However, the City's approval
of our estimated$13,600 contract came with the caveat that we not proceed until
authorized by the Council to do so. The Council made no such authorization.
• As background, the City has various `paper' maps; we have some property parcel maps
on computer; and we also have some sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer on
computer.
• We suggest the City budget over time(will be on-going and should be continually
updated)for us to put together a`layered' set of maps on computer(plats, property lines,
and R/W on one layer;RE codes and property owners on another layer; sanitary sewer
system improvements on another layer, water system improvements on another layer;
storm sewer system improvements on another layer; etc.). Depending on how quickly and
on how much the City wants done, a$5,000 to $10,000 number per year may be
appropriate.
G Wastewater Treatment Plant(WWTP)MPCA Facility Plan
• WSN, Brett Twardy, and Dave Sjoblad met last year with the MPCA to discuss
components of a Facility Plan that MPCA would require if/when the City wants to do
something with their spray irrigation field and/or wastewater ponds.
• Is the City budgeting for this study?
• Does the City want WSN to proceed on any of this work?
H. Pequot Boulevard/Marshall Street Storm Drainage
• Hand out copy of study.
• Review"Summary and Recommendations".
Other items/issues?
c: Mike Rude, WSN
Don Anderson, WSN
WSN File
H:\JOB\130PQLAK\0000-GENERAL\CORR\FEBRUARY 1,2005 CITY COUNCIL UPDATE-MEMO.DOC
