City Council Minutes <br /> February 2, 2005 <br /> Page 2 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> Council Member Nagel noted an error in the minutes regarding Library <br /> Board appointments. The minutes recognized Sue Lenzen as being <br /> appointed to the Library Board instead of Jerry Akerson. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GREER MOVED TO APPROVE THE JANUARY 4, <br /> 2005 MINUTES AS AMENDED. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 4. Open Forum <br /> No one appeared for open forum. <br /> 4.1. Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway <br /> Representatives of the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway were present to update <br /> the Council on 2004 accomplishments. The Council was requested to <br /> support the efforts in applying for a grant to identify the historic fire tower <br /> as an interpretive sight on the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CLERK <br /> TO DRAFT A LETTER OF SUPPORT. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN <br /> L-, SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 5. Update on Old City Hall <br /> The Clerk noted that there has been some activity regarding the sale of <br /> the old city hall, however, no actual offers have been made at this time. <br /> 6.1. Planning and Zoning Report <br /> Report submitted by Zoning Administrator Dawn Bittner. <br /> 6.2. Discuss P&Z Commission Number of Members and Meeting Payments <br /> Zoning Administrator Bittner indicated that the Planning Commission voted <br /> to recommend that the number of members remain at 8 and that the <br /> members who are absent from the regular meetings not receive payment <br /> for the month with the exception of the chair. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED THAT THE NUMBER OF <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING MEMBERS REMAIN AT 8 AND THAT THE <br /> MEMBERS WHO ARE ABSENT FROM THE REGULAR MEETINGS <br /> NOT RECEIVE PAYMENT FOR THE MONTH WITH THE EXCEPTION <br />
