Council shall hold a public hearing, notice of which shall have been published in the official <br /> newspaper at least ten(10) days prior to the date of the hearing, and notice of the hearing shall be <br /> sent to all owners of property which is proposed to be designated a Heritage Preservation Site <br /> and to all property owners within 300 feet of the boundary of the area to be designated a Heritage <br /> Preservation Site. <br /> The public hearing shall occur 60 days or more after the Commission's communication to <br /> the State Historic Preservation offices concerning the proposed Heritage Preservation Site <br /> designations as outlined in Section 6. <br /> Section 6: Communications with the State. <br /> The Heritage Preservation Commission shall send proposed site designations and design <br /> guidelines to the State Historic Preservation office at the Minnesota Historical Society, and <br /> otherwise comply with Minnesota Statute Section 471.193, subd. 6. <br /> The office of the City Clerk shall record with the Crow Wing County Recorder or the <br /> Crow Wing County Registrar of Titles the legal description of all buildings, lands or areas <br /> designated as Heritage Preservation Sites by the Pequot Lakes City Council and shall transmit a <br /> copy of said legal description to the Pequot Lakes Planning Commission. <br /> Section 7: Violations and Penalty. <br /> It shall be a misdemeanor to alter, disturb, deface or materially change the appearance of <br /> a Heritage Preservation Site without the express written approval of the heritage Preservation <br /> Commission. Each day an owner, occupant, builder, contractor, architect or other person allows <br /> such a violation to exist or continue, constitutes a separate violation of this ordinance and it shall <br /> be punishable as such. <br /> This ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its passage and publication as required by <br /> law. <br /> Adopted this 'y of At 1999 by the Pequot Lakes City Council. <br /> i Schmidt <br /> ayor <br /> .ATTEST: <br /> Marty " <br /> City Clerk <br /> 4 <br />
