City Council Minutes <br /> December 4,2006 <br /> Page 9 of 12 <br /> -------------------------- <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO TABLE THE MOTION. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 10. Police Chief Monthly Report <br /> Report received by Council. The Mayor noted that the City has received a <br /> notice from MnDOT regarding not allowing the parade route to cross <br /> Highway 371. <br /> 11. City Clerk's Report <br /> Report by Clerk Peine. <br /> 11.1. Business Continuity Plan <br /> The Clerk presented a business continuity plan to be used to quickly <br /> recover and resume operations in the event of a significant business <br /> interruption relating to information and technology needs of the City. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE BUSINESS <br /> CONTINUITY PLAN. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. <br /> Council Member Bolz-Andolshek suggested that the policy contain more <br /> detail. Council Member Ryan suggested adopting the proposed plan and <br /> working at enhancing the plan in the future. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 11.2. Accounting Software <br /> The City Clerk informed the Council that the Deputy Clerk and City Clerk <br /> have been researching financial software systems to upgrade the existing <br /> software (CTAS). Nancy Malecha indicated that the City has outgrown <br /> CTAS. The Clerk noted that three systems have been reviewed; Banyon <br /> Data Systems, Civic Systems and ACS Springbook. The Clerk <br /> recommended that the Council purchase the software from Civic Systems <br /> for $26,700. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE <br /> OF FINANCIAL SOFTWARE FROM CIVIC SYSTEMS FOR $26,700 TO <br />
