City Council Minutes <br /> December 4,2006 <br /> Page 8 of 12 <br /> -------------------------- <br /> It was the consensus of the Council that the department contract with <br /> WSN to engineer the project and that they do the truss upgrade. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> PROJECT CONTINGENT ON THE ENGINEERS REVIEWING THE <br /> PLANS AND CONTINGENT ON FUNDING BEING AVAILABLE AND <br /> FURTHER THAT THE COSTS FOR ENGINEERING FEES AND TRUSS <br /> UPGRADE BE INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL COST. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> Larry Oaks noted that the firefighters will be doing the labor and thereby <br /> saving the City a lot of money. <br /> 9. Water/Wastewater Monthly Report <br /> Report by Tina Nolden. Tina requested authorization to sell the John <br /> Deere lawn mower in the watertwastewater department. She indicated <br /> that the street department has two mowers and will mow the water/sewer <br /> areas. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE TINA NOLDEN TO <br /> SELL THE JOHN DEERE LAWN MOWER FOR THE HIGHEST PRICE <br /> POSSIBLE. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 9.1. Farm Lease Agreement <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ENTER INTO A 2007 <br /> FARM LEASE AGREEMENT FOR THE SPRAY IRRIGATION FIELDS <br /> WITH BILL TULENCHIK FOR $3,000. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 9.2. Weekend Pay for Checking Lifts <br /> The Clerk requested the Council to authorize a minimum of two-hours per <br /> day on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays for checking lifts stations and <br /> other related duties. <br /> Council Member Ryan indicated that he felt time should be paid for actual <br /> time worked. He recommended tabling this issue until the City can work <br /> out the final details with Pine River. <br />
