WATER DISTRUBITION: I ran out of nice weather and was
unable to finish flushing hydrants, but I will take care of them all
in the spring. On Nov. 14th, Bob Swanson with Gilman Plumbing
downsized the meter at Auto Value. All went well with that.
Trailside finally hooked up to our water main on Nov. 27th. Mike
and myself supervised and took care of closing and opening
valves, as well as draining and flushing the lines. It's very nice to
have that out of the way now.
WASTEWATER: All is going well. I had Jeremy file televise the
sewer main by the Cole Memorial Bldg. and then applied some of
the new foaming root killer to MH#78. In a couple months, I will
have him televise it again to ensure that the roots are going away.
In the meantime, we are consistently checking the manholes. If I
find out that the root killer isn't doing its job, we can attempt to
use our root-cutting tool. The reason we haven't used this yet is
because, in the past, it has gotten stuck in a line and we almost
thought we were going to have to dig up the street. We definitely
do not want that to happen.
OTHER: I would like permission to sell our John Deere Lawn
Mower. The Maintenance Dept. has two mowers and can mow our
Water/Sewer Dept. areas. Therefore, ours is unnecessary and it's
taking up much needed space in the garage. The money we could
get from selling it would go to the Water/Sewer Budget. I have
included pricing information for this.
L.
