reminded everyone not to fill tankers right to the top, which can spill and cause ice to
form. Peterson II mentioned we need more safety glasses.
The Mac tanker has been painted and needs lights installed.
The ambulance graphics are done and the donated radio has been installed. The radio
channels are not in the same order as our other radios. If we leave the alpha switch on for
scanning channels, the radio will go back to our fire channel when a transmission has
been completed.
A work night to work on the tanker's lights is scheduled for next Wednesday.
Pelican Township has expressed interest in contracting with us for fire protection in their
township for areas in close proximity to the Breezy station. The Fire Board has approved
their interest, if we can complete the contract. We will be attending their township
meeting on November 16`h. The main are3as they are concerned about are along the south
side of County Road 11 from Ricka Manufacturing to County Road 3.The other area is
along County Road 4 from Edgewater South to old County Road 18.
We reviewed the driving policy for emergency vehicles and a school bus. The laws are
the same as if we were driving our personal vehicles.
A letter of resignation was read from Tina Nolden. She has lost interest and feels she
cannot give the department her best. She is willing to respond to calls until we can fill her
vacancy. A motion was passed to accept her resignation and her offer to help with calls.
Interviews for new fire fighters are planned for the first week in December.
Our plans for constructing a meeting room area are at a standstill. We need to put
together a detailed plan and present it to the Council for their approval
The Andover fire department are changing their colors for turn-out gear and have a lot of
used gear for sale. We will find out what their price is for the gear and see if we could use
any of it.
We are going to purchase more sweatshirts and hats. Give your order of what yuou need
to Bill as soon as possible.
We need to send a thank you to Narveson Management and TSOA for their$10,000
donation. We will include some pictures of what we purchased using the finds.
We are going to pay D& G Towing for the training cars he has delivered and picked up
for us the past two years. Szymanski motioned we pay them$300.00 for his service,
which would be a cost for training for us. Evenson second the motion, motion passed.
