Pequot Lakes
December 4, 2006
• Possible Wastewater Treatment Facility Changes and/or Upgrades
We have worked with the City in the past on various projects related to your wastewater treatment
facility. With the possibility of a TH 371 bypass near the facility, growth in the area, rising land
values, etc., it is important that the City looks ahead at how to continue efficiently treating and
disposing of wastewater.
In the past,WSN has presented a proposal to the City for a Facility Plan that would meet regulatory
requirements on addressing the above issues and reviews possible modifications to the treatment
ponds and spray irrigation disposal fields.
• Project Priority List (PPL)Applications
We prepared PPL Applications to the State for possible funding assistance on two wastewater
projects (rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewers, and sewer improvements associated with TH 371
corridor improvements) and one water project (watermain improvements associated with the TH
371 corridor improvements). We look forward to continuing to work with the City on various
funding assistance programs.
In addition to the engineering services we provide to the City, we offer land surveying, architecture, and
environmental services. Please don't hesitate to call one of us should you have the need for these
professional services.
It has been a pleasure working with the City of Pequot Lakes and we look forward to being of service to you
in 2007.
Sincerely,
WIDSETH SMITH NOLTING&ASSOCIATES, INC.
Timothy Houle, PE Michael Rude, PE
Vice President Civil Engineer
