AGENDA ITEM #12.7
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: November 8, 2006
Sub_i ect: Government Drive Funding
Report: This is an update on the City's effort to get
funding for the Government Drive project. We have
discussed possible funding options for this project with
. Congressman Oberstar at one meeting and with his
assistant at another meeting. Four options were given to the
City for this funding.
• Small Cities Development Program (DEED)
• Army Corp of Engineers
• US EDA Grant
• Minnesota State Revolving Loan Fund
Mr. Oberstar's Assistant contacted the State Revolving
Loan Fund and determined that there currently are no funds
available. He sent the City the info on the Small Cities
Development Program, however, after review of the
requirements, it was determined that the Government Drive
Project would not qualify.
