� 19.2 Members of the bargaining unit shall, upon request of the Department Head, submit to fingerprinting. 19.3 If an employee cannot fulfill the duties of their jab, the Police Chief may require a member of tite bargaining unit to submit to a fitness far duty exam in the case of serious physical condition, mental health condition, or Iong term disability. ARTICLE 20 SAFETY 20.1 Employees are required to: a. Fuiiy comply with the Safety Program as adininistered by the Safety Cotnmittee. b. Immediately report to their snpervisor all unsafe equipment, practices or procedures that pose a threat to the safety of employees or others. c. Cooperate with and assist in the investigation of accidents to identify #he catESes and to prevent recurrence. d. Obseive and promote safe �vork habits. e. Report injuries to supervisor iinmediately. �-- Employees who do not follaw and abide by the Employer's Safety Program wiil be subject to discipline in accordance with Ai�ticle 7. � ARTICLE 21 WAGES, SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL 21.1 Empioyees shall be paid in accordance with Appendix "A" attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement. 21.2 An empioyee shall be eligible for a one (1) step movement on JanuaFy I of each year, subject to receiving a satisfactory performance evaluation. The denial of a step advance due to failure to receive a satisfactory performance evaluatian shali be subject to the grievance procedure. Employees hired after July 1 shalt move to the next step on the salary schedule on January 1 after their first full year of einployinent. The Employer, at its discrefion, may place a newly hired employee at a higher step in the pay pian based on job-reIevant experience and training. The Employer, at its discretion, inay advance an employee up to one (1) additional step upon successful completion of the probatio�iaiy period. zz7�a-a 20
