` 16.3 Benefits. Vacation and paid sick leave shall accz�ue upon successfu� camptetion af <br />the p�•obationary period, retroactive to date of hire, but may not be taken while the <br />empioyee is an probation. Payment wi11 be made for holidays that occur during <br />the pi•abatianary period. <br />16.4 Upon successfui completian of the probationary period, an emplayee shali become <br />a regular e�nployee within the meaning of this Agreement. <br />ARTICLE 17 <br />SENIORITY <br />17.1 Definitions. Seniority shall be defined as an employee's length of cantinuous <br />service with the Employer. Upan completion of ihe probationary period, the <br />seniority date of the employee shall relate back to the employee's initial date of <br />most recent employment. <br />17.2 Part-Time Emuloyees. A part-time etnployee's seniority standing shall be based <br />upan total hours of service. If a part-time emplo�ee gaes to fuli-time empioymeni, <br />the employee's total hours of service will be divided by 2480 to establish the <br />effective sen,iority date. <br />`-- 17.3 Seniaritv List. The seniority list on the effective date of this Agreement sha11 <br />show the name, hire date and job #itle of all employees in the bargaining unifi. The <br />Employer shail keep the seniority lisf up to date, in addition to pos�ing the Iist on <br />the em�loyee's builetin board on the first working day of each year for a period of <br />foui�teen ( I 4) working days, and shall send a copy to the Unian. [Initial seniority <br />list ta be prepared by Union, subject to Employer review and approval.] <br />Einployees sha11 have fifteen {15) working days from the date of the posting to <br />supply written documentation, proof, and a written request far seniarity change to <br />the Employer. <br />17.4 An employee shall lose seniority far any of the following reasons: <br />a. Resignation; <br />b. Discharge �o�• just cause; <br />c. Failure to return to work when recalled from layoff; <br />d. Faiture to be recalled fi•om Iayoff �vithin ane (1) year; <br />e. Failut�e to reti.irn to work upon expiration of an approved leave of absence. <br />17.5 Anulication of Senioi•itv. Seniority shall apply where specifically provided in this <br />Agree�nent. Na part-time employee shall supereede a�ry full-time employee in <br />� seniority. <br />ZZ�s�-� 18 <br />
